Charisse Litchman has called Connecticut her home since her college days and lives there with her husband and her two dogs. Her children having launched, she has turned back to her old passions of drawing and painting. Charisse attended the Maryland Institute of Art before college and more recently has taken classes at the Silvermine School of Art. One of her earlier paintings at Silvermine won first place in the student art show exhibition.

Charisse has spent the last three decades caring for patients with strong physical and emotional needs.  Charisse honed her art of observation over her years as a doctor and is translating it onto the canvas.  Her compositions conjure deep emotion, through form, texture, and color.  The vibrant colors in her work convey a mood, a dream, an aspiration.  Her goal is to elicit a passionate reaction in those who view her art and to evoke for her viewers personal reminiscences and reflection.
